    Kees Laser > Käser 60W

A few months ago i started drawing up my ideas for a laser.
It took me about 2 months to build it, mainly because i could only weld the frame somewhere else on friday-mornings and it took so long before i received the iron tubes for the frame..
I had build my CNC-router about 6 years ago and improved that a few times through the years, so i could make most of the parts in home..
I works fine now for a month or so.
Anyway, here some pic's i made during the build and testing..

That is beautiful machine, especially the welding and your electronics. If you don't mind sharing, how are you actuating the Y axis? I see a belt but your motor is mounted in the middle? Also some extra electronics beyond what I'd expect: the three transformers(?) look like they're powering the motor drives? And the bare board is some kind of power converter for the controller? What kind of controller is it?

where did you get your tube and power supply? I've looked at build-your-own laser but not sure I want to invest the time.

    Many questions
    @andrewmb:
from left to right you see in the upper row:
    Thunderlaser controller
Meanwell PT65D supply 5/12/24V for various electronics
    Supply 48V/15A for stepperdrivers
    HV-supply 60W
    Backend of lasertube and cooling/temperature-interfacecard
On the lower end you see:
    Switchpanel with some linedrivers
    Net-filter
    4 stepperdrivers (X-Y-Z and rotational)
3 Solidstate Relais (AirAssist, Blower, Watercooler)
    3 walloutlets 230V
This picture was taken during the tests. In the meanwhile i have changed most of the wiring for better types, installed some extra hardware to automate the Z and U axis and automate the Rotational unit so i could connect it while the machine is on without making changes in hard or software..
The Yaxis motor is right from the middel. At both ends you see a coupler to the silversteel rods. At the end the rods fit into a bearing in a bearinghousing (like on the first picture) Just before the bearing i placed 20tooth-5 pitch wheels, so every rotation corresponds to 100mm travel.
    (see attached picture of Y-drive)
@2dcreations Tube came form CNsigntech(ebay) and the supply came from world-etrade(also ebay)

@Gweike-Abby Some more pics attached, one of them is my router (65 x 95 x 15cm workspace)
A mirror (Poeslief.. ) and a small piece of "trespa" of 50mm round
