Milltronics "02 - File not found" issue

    Hi all,

Being from Australia, there is little to no tech support for milltronics down here, so I have had to learn as much about them as I can myself.

I am using the mill mostly for pattern making for my cast aluminium products, which it has done really well for me, until yesturday, when it decided not to recognise the files I had recently added to the hard drive.

Here is a little about my system:
    Centurion V on a VM24,
Card Cage has the SIM-disc card removed and is running of a conventional hard drive.

As most of my files are large and take hours to mill (20+ hours in many cases) I load all my programms directly on to the hard drive and run them in DNC mode. (remove hard drive, install in PC, load files, re-fit to mill).

Yesturday I loaded a couple of files in the usual manner and went to run them in DNC mode with no luck. They were visible, but had a blacked out "O" to the left of the file name, and come up witht the "002 File Not Found" error when selected. The files are about 44Mb each.

Has any one come across this issue before?
What should I try to resolve it?

    Thanks.

Re: Milltronics "02 - File not found" issue

    Update:
It looks like I have found a solution to the problem.
I have found that instead of going to "File" and selecting the NCC file from the list I can access it by doing the following:
    F10 - utilities,
    F6 - DNC
    F4 - Run
    F5(?) - Old

Type in file name - ie. PART.NCC

Then it seems to work. so, problem solved, well, a work-around solution implemented.
