    bar feeder

Hi everyone, my problem is that i have a hydroflow multifeeder barfeed connected to the hurco tm8. The problem is have i put to many m codes in to the program or not enough or even the wrong ones.
I have a bar in the chuck, the machine tells me that the last component is giong to be machined out of the remaining bar. the bar feeder ram rod comes down the pipe and ejects the bar end. The cams go round to load the bar on to the rail the carrage loads the bar into the machine pipe (spindle) the carrage retracts, the machine screen shows a warning like time out. what should happen after the bar is fed in to the pipe is that the ram rod should push the bar up to the machine stop, but for some reason it doesn't. any suggestions.
    the m code i'm using is m20 m22 m21
    thanks for looking

been in touch with hurco and they inform me that i should not be using m codes to use the bar feeder. it will interfere with the interface. so there is something wrong with the the bar feeder software.
    hope this helps other people.

You are missing the E.O.B. signal to the Hurco Control.
After the remnant is ejected, and the feeder is loading a new
Bar the feeding and feed complete signals need to be set again
During the bar load. This sequence instructs the Hurco to move
Into position for the bump stop. This is the bar exchange routine.

Do you have an interface diagram of the feeder to
    the Hurco control ?

Also it may be helpful to know the software ver in the Hurco.

    sensor

the fault was the sensor on the end of the bar feeder machine; it was not picking up the bar end when the bar entered the spindle. It was out of position.
the technician came and altered the position of the sensor.
I took out the m codes and I am in machine utopia, working very well.

    hopes this helps others
