    pistol grips

I want to duplicate the grips on my pistol in wood. I will need to do 2 side mashining as there are reliefs on the back. Will Meshcam Art allow me to scan the grips and convert to 3D for carving

With either version of MeshCAM, you an take the 3D file of your scans and generate toolpath to cut it out. However, neither will do the scan for you or generate a 3D surface from the point cloud data.

I generally recommend the David scanner if you want a minimum-cost scanner or the Nextengine scanner if you have a little more money to spend.

Let me know if I can answer anything else for you.
