    Stepper Motor Starts and Stop

    Hey everyone, I need help on my stepper driver and breakout board the problem is that when I try to calibrate my cnc router the machine moves but then then I set the mm it moved and It says machine has been calibrated. And when I try to Jog the motor moves a little distance and then it stops but keep on making a noise like if is moving and in the computer it says is moving but the motor stays still. Any help will be appreciated thanks Here are the Driver board and breakout board spec sheets. Also the driver board is set to 1/4" step and 3A. Thanks again

    Hello;

    If the motor rotates at the beginning at least a complete turn it isn't (probably) motor wiring problems. Check your connections. If you show a video with sound we could probably be more helpful. Guided by your description it seems like motor stalling. Decrease acceleration and motor speed on the "motor tuning" settings and try again. Please, modify only one thing at the time.

    Does it do it on all the axes? Tell us also about your power supply voltage and rated current.

    Best regards,

    kreutz
