Smile New CNC Router Project, Using Kflop, KANALOG, KMotion and Mach 3

    Hey Guys,

I would just like to start by saying Tom Kerekes from Dynomotion has created a great product and more importantly backs it up.

    My project is:

    Building a new CNC router
    - 48 Inches in the X, 96 Inches in the Y, 8 inches in the Z
    - Yaskawa SGDV Servo Amplifier and SGMGV Servo 750watt motors
    - Kflop and Kanalog cards
    - Mach 3 software
    - Soon to come, tangential and rotary (4th axis)

I will post up my progress and diagrams as completed.

    Hi
I'm very new to the Dynomotion gig but I do have a gantry router with a 60" Y axis. I started looking at Dynomotion for a knee mill retrofit but may be leaning towards putting it on my router as well but running the Kmotion program. On the surface (as far as I've gotten) it seems like you have more control over the acceleration and jerk function. This can be really important in a moving gantry router if that's what your running.

Hey Derek, correct, this is the same reason I aslo went with KFLOP and Kanalog just made connection a breeze, I found with Mach 3 from a printer port, there was interruptions, and result, your right, Jerkiness, where KFLOP is a great buffer, and seems to have the smoothness you want on a router or CNC machine.

    Cheers

    Hi Rick

I went with KFlop for the same reason - board is enroute. Have you hooked it up yet?

Also, how are you doing the frame / table?

    Cheers
    Kai
