I have a part that is approx 10" od,8" id and 1" thick. I have to cut a pocket with some flats that is around 9" id and 1/2" deep. Can you use dynamic core mill to cut inside to outside? What is the best way to do this? thanks, Jim

How do you get the tool to enter from the inside rather than ramp in the pocket area? The inside of this pocket is open. thanks, Jim

yes, if you create extra boundaries. attach a file if you need more specifics.

Select Approach and Retract points. If the center is totally open, why use Core Mill? Why not use Contour with multi-passes/depth cuts? Core Mill would be for when you have a cast pocket with a cast island and you want to machine both on one operation.
