    G320x encoder x4,x2,x1 count setting

How do you set different encoder count up from current encoder count. example 500 cpr set g320x to read x1 = 500 cpr, x2 = 1000 cpr, x4 = 2000 cpr
is this set by gain settings?

In the manual it is only one option of x4.

    other option

what about an external solution? any oem device that can be used to count up or down. example encoder 500 cpr (A,B 5v) to oem device that counts up or down multiples x1,x2,x4,etc that would then interface servo drive? if not what could be used and how do you think it could be done? PIC Chip custom program?

    Thanks

Well if you wish to use a method to detect the quadrature pulse count directly using another multiplier you would only need to detect either 1 leading edge for x1 or the leading edge of A & B for x2 or both leading and trailing edges of both A & B for x4.
There are a few ways to achieve this with standard TTL or Pic.
One of the quadrature pulses is always also used as the direction indicator.
