Hello all,
I have a Studer S40-12 grinder here, equipped with a Sinumerik S3G control and 1HU 3056 motors. One of my motors is at the local repair house, they're unable to locate brushes through their distributor or Siemens, Siemens says they don't offer a retrofit and we have to buy a whole new control.
We don't have that budget. I need a motor on this thing and yesterday, and a source to either fix this motor or offer me something that can be made to work.

i suspect we can fix it for you.
we have not had a siemens motor in for repair we have not fixed yet. we even have machined a drop in replacement resolver for the old analog ac tach they had in some of these so the motors can be used with new drives.
