    Question Questions about the Acraread

    Hey guys,

So I recently bought a Cincinnati 10VC-100 CNC VMC ACRAMATIC900. The machine is a bit old, 1985. I still haven't understood the machine well, but i can see from the machine that it has a tape reader "Acraread LS" So I'm guessing that that is the way the machine receives g-codes. Obviously, that type of technology is a bit old. So i am looking for a replacement for the reader, that i can put it on the network, or just plug in a flash drive with the codes. In other words, something more modern. I also noticed that on the back of the reader, there is a LPT port... could that work for importing codes??.

Thanks, and i appreciate any help given.

The 25pin D connector is most likely RS232 serial interface?
