I have been having as many questions as everyone else in the zone, especially when it comes to feeds and speeds! After running a Bridgeport for thirty years, I just knew by feel what RPM to use for a given situation.
But now that I have built my own CNC router, It is necessary to pre-calculate these feedrates and RPM's!
I rememberd a coworker using a plastic sliderule type gizmo to find the general feedrate under normal conditions. So I googled around till I found one for FREE!

That is a handy chart.
Just remember that the sfm and fpt charts on the back are for lovejoy facemills and insert cutters that use carbide inserts.
