Is anyone running a Cincinnati Sabre or Arrow with a phase converter?
I am thinking about downsizing and moving my shop back home.
Single phase power is the major obstacle.
Any advice is appreciated. TIA

I have a 30hp rotary phase converter that I am using to power my Sabre 1250. It is a "CNC grade" rotary phase converter that I have running through a delta to wye transformer. The transformer has +/-5% and +/-10% taps on it. I have all three of my legs balanced nearly perfectly at 238,238,240 leg to leg. I use the same phase converter to power my EZPATH II CNC lathe with no issues. Most people will probably recommend a VFD style converter over the rotary but I have had no problems with mine. I will mention that MAG quoted me $11,000 for the transformer that I found used on ebay for $375 delivered. Good luck.
Thanks for the info. I started out at home with rpc's and Fadals.
They worked well together but was unsure about the Cincy's.
I'm running an Arrow 750 from a Phase Perfect PT-330. Works awesome. I would highly recommend it.
I have worked in shops with rotary phase converters, and the Phase Perfect is far superior in every regard.
