Hello guys
I have couple stepper motors laying around that I would like to use for my not CNC related project. I need simple controller that will allow me to run the motor on and off and certain speed. Can I buy one somewhere? Is there a driver that will allow me to do it?

Do some research on Arduino's. There are some projects and boards that may do what you need to be done.

I used THB6064AH driver. I have not had any problems with them. There is a kit at this site.

Hi,

this is just a driver as far as I can tell and will do nothing on its own.
You'll also need something that tells the driver how fast and in which direction it should run.
There are many ways to do this - one would be an Arduino or for very simple tasks you may also just use a NE555 timer to provide a step signal for the driver.
