    G0704

Hi I stripped the plastic gear #209 on the parts diagram. Grizzly says 6-8 weaks for replacement. If anyone that has converted to belt drive has one laying around thay would like to sell . Let me know.

    Thanks

I did the same but I was planning to go with a belt drive so I just got Hoss' belt drive plans and ordered the parts to do that. Not a drop in replacement but will give me more top end RPM for aluminum and Delrin.

Hoss also has a mod for substituting both the intermediate and motor gear with steel with part #s etc. Look under projects at g0704.com

My plastic intermediate literally had no teeth left on it!

    cheers,

I was looking at qtcgears . the stock motor gear is 30mm dia 20 touth the outher gear that stripped is 50mm? 38 tooth .

on the qtc link a 50mm dia has 48 teeth and a 30mm has 28 teeth.

My question is would that fit with out modding the motor mouht and would it run the spindle faster or slower. I know the gears would need moded that is not a problem as I have a lathe.

Yea you really can't trust grizzly on what they have in stock unless you actually place an order

I have a bunch of parts if anyone needs something

    Headstock parts
    Stock motor
stock gears both small and big
    Control box complete I think.
I converted to belt drive and CNC I have a lot of stock parts left over.

Let me know what you need and we can work something out.

I am located in Henderson, NV.
