Confusion between AC servo motor and DC SERvo motor

    Dear Members,
Please I need help to differentiate between AC servo motor and DC Servo motor.
I think the system to power up the motor differentiate the AC and DC servo is it correct. CAN AC servo motor run by some DC source.
    Plz help

Basically three types, Brushed DC, BLDC brushless DC, and AC sinusoidal.
DC brushed has wound armature with brushes, BLDC and AC sinusoidal basically the same construction, three stator windings, but BLDC is fed two windings at a time, AC sinusoidal all three windings fed with 3ph sinusoidal.
    BLDC shown here http://users.tinyworld.co.uk/flecc/4...otor031102.swf
They all run off a DC source, in the case of 3ph it is reconstructed from the DC in the form of variable pulse width, variable frequency reconstructed simulated sine wave.
