    CNC cutting tool information

    Good Afternoon,

I am an experienced industrial pneumatic tool and abrasive salesmen looking for new sales employment. I can tell the difference between an end mill and an indexable bit, but that's as far as it goes. My last interviewer told me I would have a two year learning curve and he needed someone to hit the ground running.

Where would you suggest I start for a CNC cutting tool 101 course? On-line research or web school or local tech school?

    Thanks, Rick

    Hi dear Rick,
I am a CNC Programmer & trainer with about 20 years experience in CNC Operating and Cutting tools managing.
I have passed my training courses in Kennametal Hertel Co. in Germany . I have Translated and published "Sandvik Modern metal Cutting" book from English to my native language.
Despite of I am not living in USA but due to this fact that I am fluent in English language I think I can train u by internet chatting in the field of Modern Cutting Tools(Carbides, Ceramics,...).
We can start the job for a trial term and if u find it useful , u will pay my wage by means of a Bank credit in USA .
I will my resume in request.
    Best Regards

Rick, there are lots of good online resources:

    - Sandvik's course + book is very worthwhile.

    - The other major toolmakers have lots of resources.

    - Go through the magazine Cutting Tool Engineering frequently. They have a high concentration of articles.

    - Check out our own CNCCookbook feeds and speeds cookbook:

CNC Milling Feeds and Speeds Cookbook and Tutorial

Get very familiar with all the buzzwords and do a lot of research on your own to dig deeper into the more common buzzwords.

That will at least get you to talk the talk. Whether they'll let you walk the walk based on all that will be the real test of how good a salesman you are.

    Best,

    BW
