    how to test a draw bar

    I suspect my draw bar force to be too low. Is there a simple way to test it?
    How much force should it give. Its on a hardinge VMC 1000 with a cat 40 taper.

    There are scales that look like a tool holder that you put in and they will measure the draw bar force. Other than that, if you think its too weak, it probably is.
