    Pyramid style engraving bits

Anyone tried the pyramid style of engraving bits?

    carbide pyramid | eBay

They look more solid than the common flat style, any experience with the sellers?

They look like the ones sold by drewtronics but at 1/3 price

    Thanks!

Never used them in a CNC, but used them a lot in a pantograph. This was a machine before the advent of CNC. That was the type of cutter we used the most. They work good as long as you can live with the angled sides on the cut.

I just bought some of these pyramid bits for ALU engraving
So far so good but I don't have any info regarding feeds and speeds

Until now, I used 0.1mm/20deg bits at 300mmpm, 12000rpm and 0.1mm depth, no cooling (just spraying with WD40).

Can somebody share more info regarding this bits? Especially for feed and speed parameters.

    Thanks,
    Seb
