In the machine or out of the machine? Mechanical, laser, optical...?
You could be as simple as a taper holder and a height stand (or a Jo block in the machine), or full blown digital/electronic.
Check Renshaw, Parlec, Lyndex/Nikken, Command, Carbaloy, SPI, etc, etc.It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....

Out of the machine, and optical. Something like in a tool rom, to measure the height and radius.

Then, check out Lyndex/Nikken, Carboloy, and Parlec just to name a few.
