New MC with Fanuc Controller - Can I connect it to a wireless router?

As it says in the title. I have a new MC with a Fanuc OI-TD controller. it has a network port on it which I can obviously use to connect to a router via a CAT-5 cable. My question is. Can that router be wireless and allow me to transfer file from a laptop that is wireless?

Has anyone does this with a Fanuc controller. I have done it in the past with Okuma's but they basically run a windows based platform on the controller.
    Cheers

I think it can, I use wireless setup fom pc to my fanuc 0imd machining center.

you have to set the io channel to 9 and then wire the machine to a wireless router, your pc shall have wireless adapter to connect

as for the program use typsoft ftp on pc, select the "without install" version

more detail can be found on Fanuc subforum, i have detailed information posted or take look at my blog
