    Level Spec

Having some trouble getting my TM-2 perfectly level.

How many inches per foot is acceptable as far as tolerance goes?

I can get one axis level and then by the time I have the other axis level I have one foot with hardly any weight on it.

    Advice???

Don't get too fussed over the TM-2. It is small enough that perfectly level (whatever perfect means) is not really necessary. Just try to make sure all the feet are carrying load. The manuals often say same load; i.e. torque to turn the screw, but this is not possible because there is more machine weight over the rear feet. Try to get the same load between the two front feet and the same load between the two rear feet.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Get it level (Both Axii) and just touch the last leveling pad so that the machine doesn't rock at all. That size machine should only have 4 pads. More pads....harder to level!
Just a good ol' boy, never meanin' no harm.

As others have said, get it as good as you can with pressure on all 4 pads.

Double check the spindle tram and run parts!
