Very nice. Good to see you moving forwards.
New control going to take much getting used to?
No idea . I suppose there will be a lot of ups and downs as with any machine you are getting used to, new or used.
I'm actually working on way covers for my Syil. Telescopic ones done in sheet metal. I have a fair amount, well not exactly sure how much, invested in that machine with R8 tooling, enclosure, coolant system, etc, etc. So I'll probably keep running it as well.... unless I get a good offer on it once the Fadal is up and running... like just the enclosure and that 50 GPM coolant system I added for the Syil have probably be set me back some $2000 without considering the time I put into it. I like the Syil... though I might get spoiled by the ATC
I may also get a Bridgeport later and that will reuse the R8 tooling and give me a bigger table... even though it would be manual. I think a manual Bridgeport with DRO it is a nice complement to a Syil or the Fadal ... either that or perhaps a beefier mill, but then it would probably use NT40.
Actually I got a few other machines lately. Got a nice Kent 8x18 surface grinder with hydraulic feed, one of those full size Powermatic band saws (similar to a DoAll), and a Cincinnati #2 horizontal mill
We were going to purchase an X5 Plus but purchased this machine

It is great. 300 x 220 x 260 travel, 8 station BT30 ATC, full enclosure and flood coolant. Just got it a week ago. Also 4th Axis and mpeg control.
