Hi,
after changing of Z axis encoder and backup battery I have 2 alarms:
1- Alarm 1393 : R.D. Relocation Dtected
2- Alarm 1395 : R.D. battery change time exceeded.
Does any one know what I have to do?
Is R.D. the abbrev. of what words?
Tnx

R.D. stands for relocation device. This detects when the machine is moved and tripps something in the control so it does not work. This is how Mazak keeps track on where their machines are. (so they don't break trade laws) There is a battery backup in this unit also. To get these alarms either the battery was dead too long or you possibly bumped this unit inside of the electrical cabnet. This must be reset by a Mazak technician. Call your local Mazak service center.
Tnax for info.
Unfortunately we can't access to Mazak service here.
Do u know how we can reset the battery error?
Like bildoo said the relocation device can only be reset by a Mazak tech. You will not get the machine running again until some one from Mazak is standing at the machine.
I just noticed you are from Iran. My thinking is with current US and Japan sanctions against your country I know you will not get help from Mazak. This is the purpose of the R.D. device. These posts to you may even break these sanction laws. Good luck with your 20000 lb boat anchor.
Hi bildoo,
U are right. But we are a private company in heating & chilling devices not in army field.
anyway thanks.

Looking at this logically, based on information at hand;
This Mazak was in place and running in Iran already. That could only have been possible if originally installed by a MAZAK TECH in the first place.
If it was done once, you can do it again, but it looks like the only possibility is to invest in another visit from a Mazak Tech again.
Mazak did this to be ahead of the laws in place or pending to prevent bad people from making nuclear bombs. (With pretty new Mazaks with Matrix Controls)
The internal system at Mazak will not allow any Mazak Tech to do this "out the back door". couldn't do it if they tried. Info like this must go through the internal Mazak Departments that manage such an important function.

Plan B is to hire Bill Gates and his team of techs. Perhaps people like that could hack into it? Dunno. It is intended to be bulletproof!
it is too bad that the people in germany that sold you the machine did not tell you about the relocating device.
after working for a mazak dealer for 14 years, i can tell you, that you will not get that machine reactivated in iran.
you changed the encoder because it was damaged in transport from germany.
you bought and got a mazak delivered in iran, but it will be impossible to start it.
if a mazak guy would activate the r.d. unit, he his risking big fines and possible jail time like the president of mitutoyo a few years ago.
that is why mazak put these devices on their machine, the yamazaki familly prefers private jets and champagne to jail cells.
because even if you change the batteries you need to give mazak the serial number of your machine so the generate a activation password and
only a mazak tech can input it in the control.
try to sell this machine outside iran (your only way to get your money back).
sorry but you are on a impossible mission.

have you parameter list?
Which parameter do u need?
What is ur mazak model?
Yes, This machine, with this alarm will not run in memory (run the program you created to machine a part) or in MDI (function that allows G-code to be put in cycle) , but will function in all other cycles.
Basically this is now a manual machine, and the only way to fix it is to call Mazak with the serial number of the machine and location of the machine and they will tell you if they will fly over there to fix it. My guess is that Iran is not supported by Mazak and there is no way to fix it.
What kind of machine do you have? What is the serial number?
could u help if u have the serial no.?
What model of machine?
