Got a mc60 and treadmill motor combo out of a local treadmill and pulled out the choke with it. Does anyone have input on using the choke or not? With the mc60 it is just wired on the motor neg between the board and the motor.

It is advisable to use the Choke. It will really help the motor to run smoother and also quieter. You don't have to use it though if you didn't want to. I'm going to use a Choke on mine when ever I put this motor on something.

A choke is used mainly to make it easier on the drive when low impedance motors are used.
