    Serial cable help

I am trying to put a serial cable back together that was ripped apart accidentally. The machine is an old Linde model SIGN SYS. Serial number: 85-7-2022 dated 6-13-85.

The control panel has the following info:
    Linde VCNC-7

It is connected to a PC using a 9 pin to 25 pin adapter then a 25 pin to 25 pin cable where the connections on the Linde machine are unknown at this point.

Do these generally take a standard RS232 DB25 serial cable? Null Modem or regular? or are they usually a custom pinout. I can't find a pinout that matches the existing end on the internet anywhere.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Todd

Don't know about your machine, but

    Have you tried:
    http://www.cablestogo.com

They have a "custom cables" link that might help.
