    Stepper driver problem (leadshine m742)

    hello ppl!

im new here.. sorry if this is becoming a double post but i tried to search my prob and nothing came up..

i have leadshine M742 stepper drivers and mecheltron 60bygh450-02 3Nm stepper motors. the motors are 8 wires. when i connect the motors to the driver, i get problem with the A coil input. when the A coil input is left unused, the stepper driver stays in normal mode(with power supply connected) but if i connect the A coil also, to the driver, i hear the motor jump and the stepper drivers goes into fault mode, showing a red LED as opposed to a green one when everything is fine. i checked with another motor, using different windings of the motor, used a different driver too, its the same problem.. the driver jumps into a fault mode..

i cant figure what the problem could be..

DIP switches on off in a speical way.. ?? anything??
    thanks for any help.

Umm... probably a dumb question but you aren't actually connecting and disconnecting motor coil wires while the power is on are you?
