EZLINK is for port B, EZCOM is for port A. EZLINK is fixed at 4800 baud as you have it.
EZCOM can edit a program in memory and can take different Baud. Both should transfer a program. What is the length? Have you tried MDI store to write a simple program, send it to the PC, rename it and send it back?
There is a tech bulletin covering this. If you search the forum you would have found reference to it. Give me a Email address and I will send you a copy.
I do carry a laptop (old Compaq) running WIN 95 just to communicate with machines and it has a serial port. I have not found a USB to RS232 converter that works. I have heard that the PCMCIA to RS232 works but have not tried it.
