The shop I work in is currently trying to switch from graphite electrodes to copper-tungsten for burning carbide.

Our set up is a Roku-Roku vertical milling machine with a 30,000RPM spindle, using 3 flute solid carbide ball-nose. I'm looking for someone to lead me in the right direction as to what feeds and speeds, step-over to start out with, straight line cuts or helical? surface finish is very important. most of the electrodes we make are not very detailed, mostly cone shaped with some blended flats.

Any advice would be very appreciated as none of us are very advanced machinists.
