Where do i find accessories, materials for my laser?

    Hi!

I just bought my first laser, a second hand Speedy 40w.
I´m having trouble finding good online stores for accessories such as materials, engraving paste etc.
I found LaserBits (great store) but it´s in the US and there must be many more.
I would really like to find one in the EU since buying outside is a gamble of custom fees, taxes etc.

Could someone please give me some links of GOOD online stores.

    Regards

    Ricard, Sweden

It could work outside the EU too but the company must then be willing to write a lower value on the shipping for custom purpose. :O)

    Ricard,

Just to ask someone to do that and almost all Chinese suppliers will be willing to mark items 'gift', is committing an offense. Because it is an offense relating to taxation the penalties, if you get caught, could be severe and bear little relationship to the money involved.
    Observe caution here my friend.

    Tweakie.
CNC is only limited by our imagination.

I was just going to place an order at Laserbits but stopped at the last step.
$120 shipping, oh lord, why does it have to be that expensive?
Now i really need to find another supplier.

I mainly use wood or material supplied by customer - I have not used metal marking paste (yet).

    Ok, thanks.
Too bad that laserbits had soooooooo high shipping cost.
Would be a good choice otherwise.

I don't know how shipping will be, but check out signwarehouse.com their site is a bit difficult to navigate, but under supplies click vinyl, then on the left column you'll see engraving supplies. try this link

I would like to buy a new honeycomb table, marking paste for metal etc. Laserbits took $120 for the shipping for a $100 order so...

The honeycomb table will probably be cheapest if you order it from china. as far as the thermark or cermark, if you can't find a UK supplier maybe try Ebay. What size honeycomb do you need?

    I want about 700x400 cm.
Why is it that the marking products are so expensive?
Are there any alternatives to cermark and thermark?

Not to my knowledge. I have heard people talk about different things, but not with consistent results. One thing you can do, is paint the product and etch away the paint, but it has a totally different result.
