bridgeport series 2 speed controller playing up

Hi Gents, it was working just fine this morning and when i came back from lunch the damn thing is playing up,

when i press the button to either increase or decrease speeds i can hear the air valve on the side of the body opening and shutting ok, but the indicater disk just moves a tiny amount , at a time , after numerous presses it stops mpoving altogether,

but whilst the macjine is runnnig with thw air line attached there is air leeking out of what i assume to be a blow off valve,

if i disconnect the line for a few mins then re attach i can move the indicater a 150-200 hundred revs then it stops again. al the time air is leaking out of the side of the valve box thing ,

i sounds to me like not enough air pressure to move the gears as it is leaking as above, there is plenty preasure in the main air line

    anyone any ideas,

i'm sure it something and nothing [or i hope it is]

    help please,

    regards carl

Maybe a bad solenoid? They can be disassembled and examined. Sounds as if the spool inside is hung up or has a seal that gave out.
