    Help for a Newbie

    Hi People,

    First time on this site so bare with me if I'm a bit thick. I need a hand though. I purchased a motorised Router Lift from the US and it is exactly what I have been after, except for one thing. You can not buy a router in Australia to fit it!! It only accepts a 3 & 1/2 inch diameter router and the only ones of these are fixed base rather than plunge routers. There are plenty of fixed base routers in the US but none in Australia. My brother is an industrial designer and suggested I try this site for some help. He suggested there may be a simple spindle motor out there with a half inch chuck on it that i could use.

    Can anyone out there help me?
