Would anyone know the cause of a z axis excessive following error? It occurs when I try to perform tool changes and even when I am in jog mode and past the 100% on the over ride. The machine has a control technologies control.
Thanks

We have a 95 arrow 500. We did have the same problem. z drive was running hot. ended up replacing z drive. later we had the same problems again so we moved the z drive to the 4th axis drive area,no 4th axis drive option, since then no problem with z drive. try running machine w/ back door open and a fan blowing in. hope this helps
Usual fault of this type is a tight axis, check the ballscrew and ways are lubricated and remove the covers to make sure they are not jamming up or packed with chips.
