    Equation Problem

I am doing a job at the moment where I have lots of different size panels with slots down the sides.
I have drawn up the part using equations so that I can simply edit the base feature and the panel grows or shrinks according to the new size, the equation also adds or removes extra slots as required.
This works fine except that the slots will become under defined.
If you change the panel size and then edit the linear pattern you will notice that it is now blue (under defined)
Any ideas how I can get the linear patterns to stay fully defined?
    Hope I have explained myself.......

    Thanks

The problem is that you are using a sketch pattern instead of a feature pattern in your equation. Delete the pattern in both sketches, leaving only a single slot on each side. Use a feature pattern on each Cut-Extrude.

Double-click the feature pattern and pick the number that is for the pattern quantity, then use the same equation you used in the sketch pattern.

    "Length"/100
    "Width"/100

This gives you the correct # of slots on each side, but the first and last slot are not always centered on the part. Do you manually change the distance from the first slot to the edge so the part will be symmetrical, or are all your lengths divisible by 100?

For example, if your width is 560mm, the first slot is 50mm to the edge and the last one is 10mm.

Thanks Paulo that worked a treat!
Took me a while to work out how to do it, but I got there in the end!

    Thanks
