    Welding aluminum

    My question is why do I have a hard time welding .125 to .250 aluminum
    I have my tungstun 3/32 cup is # 7 amp at 160 start at half knob set to auto Im having a hard time starting a pool when it does start my welding is not shiny its dull when finish

    Are you using AC to weld with? Are you cleaning the joint free of oil and other contamination first? What gas are you using? What flow rate on the gas? More is not always better.

    A book on welding will give you pointers, or go to your welding store and ask them to look at your weld and ask for suggestions

    Yes AC with argon gas all cleaned before weld gas flow is at 18 lb knob at 7:00 o'clock
