V9 is now 10 years old

Windows 7 was not designed to support Mastercam V9
if you get it to work, consider yourself lucky, but, your problem sounds related to the graphic settings in to config file ( disable front buffer )

XP is the latest that V9 would run under reliably

    Compatibilty

Have you tried running MC9 as a WinXP compatible program?

Right click on the shortcut, select the compatibility tab and change to WinXP compatible. This could help, or try playing around with the other compatibltiy choices.

    I hope this helps...

Thank you for the advice, but I was not able to make it work.

    Back to the drawing board.

Are there versions, older, that run on Windows 7?

    Thank you

The 10 year old version wont work, so you want to know if there's an older version that will work
