Curious if there is a standard or a best practice available for tool location on a turret for an Index G200? We tend to have all of our larger tooling in one area and on a particular machine the turret will not index. Looking for something to help me determine if a process change is needed.

We moved some of the tooling around in an effort to distribute the load evenly and have not had a re-occurence. But, production is concerned with an increase, slight, in cycle time.

Add a counterweight to balance out the weight of the tools close heavy tools to get your cycle time back!!
