    Clausing Colchester problems????

I'm interested in purchasing a Clausing Colchester lathe. What should I look for in these lathes......known problem areas??????

One lathe is a 15x48 the other 15x50 (listed in ads). Both are older lathes, not sure of years, would guess and say 50's 60's.

What would a fair price be for one in good condition?

I cannot really help you out I wanted to jump in on this dicussion as I have just aquired a Clausing Colchester lathe. I have questions relating to it and am looking for information on it. The only identifing name plate I can see says Clausing 17 on it. It has a removable section to put on a large face plate that came with it...Any help is welcomed. Also I purchased a dividing head/indexing head (not sure which is which or if it is just a matter of terminoligy.) I cannot figure out what kind it is, I can post pics if some one can tell me how...(Newbie alert!!!)
