help and advice needed - laser cutting leather

Has anybody experience of cutting leather (possibly with a similar machine - 40w rabbit)

How easy is it to cut, what thickness of leather works best

I tried cutting a 3mm leather belt but it seemed to take several passes at full power to get anywhere, but is this typical? Maybe there are better types of leather for laser cutting?

I have a lot of experience with cutting letter with different GCC lasers and can say:
    1) Leather is not eqsy to cut material.
    2) Glass 40 Wt tube is abolutely not enough for leather cutting. We use 60 Wt Synrad to have acceptable results.
    3) There is more problems with cutting of real leather, than artificial
