Smaller vacuum hold down for Taig size mill?

My girlfriend found some vacuum pumps in the junk pile at the biotech company she works at, and I really need a good way to hold down circuit boards and thin metal things. Has anyone built a vacuum hold-down system for a taig-sized machine? Are there any plans? Any issues you've run into?

Perhaps something like this would do the job? It is made for use with compressed air but can be easily modified to work with a vacuum source instead: http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/pag...43&cat=1,43838
