    Red face Fanuc oi md - renishaw probe

    Hi all please excuse my ignorance but can anyone tell me if I can run a renishaw optical probe with OMM to MI 12 into OI-MD controller? and indeed an MP4R tool setting probe? just not sure how these older renishaw devices will interface with the newer fanuc control.
    also if the above is viable will a MI4 do the job in place of a MI 12 ???
    any help much appreciated

    yes, it can work.
    the machine tool agent and the renishaw agent should be able to do the installation as some plc preparation is required.
