Hello,

I have geometry that I need to run a surface rough pocket on. When I go to the cut depths parameters this where I get lost. I understand the difference between absolute and incremental. However If I choose incremental what do I enter in the Adjustment on top cut, and other cuts ? From what I found out through trial and error, if my stock is at 0, and if my first pass is aircuting, then I would enter in a +ve value for adjustment on top of cut, so that my tool is cutting the stock right away.

When do I choose Critical Depths ? I"ve read the help file and it says to use Critical Depths for surface rough pockets and leave the Adjustment of cuts to 0, why ??

Also what is critical depth ? Does every surface rough pocket have a critical depth value ?

use flow line rough then flowline finish it works the best for surfacing
