    Automatic oiler question

Recently bought a Bridgeport Series 1 CNC machine. I'm removing all the old computer setup and installing a PC, Geckos, etc.

I understand the automatic oiler is supposed to supply a shot of oil once in a while.

How does this work? Do I simply supply power to the oiler anytime the spindle is running and it supplies the timing? Or is there a timer circuit inside the computer somewhere? Or does a Leprechaun come in and activate the oiler? Or what.

    Thanks

    Tom

This oiler has a cam that lifts a plunger and then it drops. It typically is ON when the spindle is on.

Is it a Bijur? Some have a cyclical timer that say turns it on every 6 minutes (it is adjustable) and the volume is variable also.

I have a ez-path SD II and on the side I have the bijur pump. How can I adjust how often the oil gets shot, I been noticing that the ways don't seem to get much oil on them.

    thanks,

    This might help.http://www.youtube.com/user/BijurDelimon
However I believe there is a silver knob on the top. It controls the cc per pump. I think there are 5 videos in their link. I know 1 gives a pretty good explanation of its operation and maintenance.
