    Capping problems with extruded curve

I'm trying to draw up a guitar body. Starting with the profile curve, I can extrude the curve to the thickness I want, but Rhino is unable to cap the top and back.

    Any suggestions?

the curve probably isn't 'flat'. select it and use 'projecttocplane' in the top view. Then move it back to the height necessary (it will move it to Z zero). Then extrude and cap.

Thanks for that. After projecting to cplane, it still extrudes fine, but refuses to cap. I tried converting the curve to a polyline. No luck.

The curve is made up of a spline joined to two nurbs elements which appears to be the problem. I replaced the nurbs elements with a line and a curve and now it's working.

More than likely then, the curve probably is not closed. You'll need to find where the gap is, and fix (close) it. Then extrude - cap.
