    Smile Printing the drawing

    Version 12.1
clicked on the left icon, draw a part to make an assembly. Drew the part and when I printed it, it came out in color with light blue background and the grid. It was good looking page but used a lot of ink. How do you make it print only the geometry and the dimensions, with a white background?
    Thank You

At this point, you need to create a drawing of the part or assembly. If you have access to your manual, or the PDF's you can look up the details....or you can use the help files...OR better yet....the tutorials...

Basically...under the same pulldown menu as the one you used to create the assembly, there is an option for creating the drawing. That is what you're needing..... the art creating a drawing is far more than a single post in a forum can ever dream of covering. Your best friend is the help files provided...

If you can provide more specific questions, I will be happy to help....Alibre's drawing module is actually pretty powerful...and is what I use everyday...so I can probably guide you through some scenerios

That's printing a copy of the screen display.
Try File/New/Drawing for a proper drawing.

Sounds like you printed a sketch, not a drawing.
In order to make drawing there has to be a model.

I have not done much with drawings in Alibre but what little I have done seemed very simple, creating 3 views automatically. Pretty handy.
