    line numbering

Do the line numbers i.e. N100 need to be in order ?
Sometimes I need to move about the code, and have been renumbering them to keep them in order.

I have tried it with my cnc simulator and it seems to work ok if the numbers are not in order but I hav'nt tried in on my machine yet.
    I am using turbocnc4

Nope, numbers are pretty much for reference only (as far as I know).

Some controls can actually have decimal format line numbers.

    N10.4

Yes, you don't even need the line numbers. They are only used for manual editing. It makes finding a troublesome spot of code easier.

This free program contains a line renumber feature if you want to use it.

On a very limited numbers of controls the line numbers must be present, in sequence and not be repeated, Fadals come to mind.
