    Post DOWFROST Heat Transfer Fluid

I know there are some old threads on this, but after some digging around I found a few distributors and figured I would post the info for anyone looking for the stuff.

Dow distributes directly to Hubbard Hall their phone number is 203-756-5521 They have distributers across the country. There are two in the Southern California area.

    1.) Loyalty 949-654-9510 (Los Angeles)

2.) Golden West Lubricants 626-442-3009 (South El Monty and Pomona)

Golden West was a bit cheaper @ $147.00 for 5 Gal.

There are two other companies Dow directly distributes to that I did not call, they are:

    1.) Ashland 800-531-7106
    2.) Brenntag 800-852-0372

    Dowfrost

The stuff from FadalCNC.com, is it the same? Seems cheap.

FadalCNC.com stuff is most likely a mix with water. So you can probly buy it 100% concentrate or mixed. If your going to do it then do it right and buy it mixed so you can guarantee its not mixed with contaminated water. IIRC
We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.

The factory offers the same stuff called CCA-HT for $23.00 per gallon. Fadal engineers have determined this is chemically the same as DowFrost. Call 818-727-2100

    go to home depot

Go to home depot, they have rv antifreeze with dowforst in it. that is all you need. about $3.00 a gallon. the dowfrost is just a comercial food grade rust and corroison inhibitor.
