Walk through RS232 and windows 2000

We have an old Okuma lathe and all the manuals. We would like some help establishing a connection to the lathe using hyperterminal (or if anybody has an idea of shareware).

    Thanks

I use realterminal for RS232 port connection in the Windoz operating system.
    http://realterm.sourceforge.net/

This application will do Anything, Unfortunately, with that flexibility, Nothing is auto-magic ;-)

I have used it with xon/xoff handshaking to a controller with a VERY SMALL BUFFER.

Take a look if you like.
