Re: CNC Build progress Seiber Hegner RB1

    Hello,
I acquired a used RB1 Mill recently. The X axis feed screw requires replacement (thread wear - looks like the vise didn't get moved for a long time). Other than having a new feed screw turned, any idea where I might find a replacement?

    Thanks!

I used a Bridgeport ballscrew assembly for my rb1 build. So any screw for a bridgeport table will work on the rb1

    Thanks for the advice.
The RB1 screw uses a different method of supporting the bearings along with metric keys and handles. I acquired a replacement Bridgeport screw but had to change out the right side bearing support, bearings, and bearing retainer.
All good as this was still cheaper than having a custom screw machined.

Any chance you have access to a manual for the RB1?
I'd be willing to do whatever is needed to get some form of copy if you did.

Your CNC conversion look like its coming along nicely.

    Thanks in advance...
