Greetings Gentlemen,

I shall be brief with my issue with which I'm slightly concerned.

I have 2m x 1.2m bed upon which a gantry of mass 100kg sits on BRH-20 ball raced bearings. My stepper driver is a Gecko 540 and I can use 1 of 2 ball screws, one being 25mm OD with 5mm pitch OR 25mm OD with 10mm pitch.

Which ball screw should I use AND with which stepper motor?

Thanks in advance for any help with this as it's starting to really frustrate me.

Some things you forgot to ask. What speed do you wish to travel at and what torque do you need from the apparatus?

The tighter screw pitch will slow your speed down but increase your torque capacity.
