Question Tool change on a DNM 400

    hi there
i will buy a Doosan VMC DNM 400.
al the time before i only worked with a Fadal with a pick up Tool changer.

now i get a Maschine with a double Arm changer, do i loose a lot of time if i
hold the Tools always on the same Position in the Magazine?

    Thanks

The double arm changer doesn't keep tools in the same pot; it moves them around each time you run a part. And it's faster than the umbrella style.

    Thanks for the Answer,
the Service Tech form the Maschine show told me it was possible to bring back the tool always to the same pot.

i am al iitle bit afraid, as i dont know where my tools are when i make a "new"
    part.
    we will see.

Don't worry about it. People have been using random tool magazines for years. If I'm not mistaken, there is a Tool Data display that shows you where everything is (see attached).

hes right theyre very reliable doosn makes a great machine tool,

i have 4 doosan dhp5001's no problems at all

theres a button on the control named "custom"
when u hit this button it will display a softkeyd menu
the tool data table, the atc manual opertion modes, and the tool load monitor
can be displayed from the softkeys on the screen

you should ask you machine reseller for the plain english documentation
for the tool changer, sometimes the service guys can get their hands on some really good instructions that dont come with the fanuc operation manuals

if you want to pm me ur email i will send you some of the pdf files i have on the embedded ethernet, and the tool load monitor
